With SCSI and a Winchester Floppy Disk Drive controller, users now have a perfect ONE BOARD solution to replace older, less powerful and more expensive products such as the iSBC-214 drive controller. The SCSI interface of the ZBX-380 transfers data synchronously to and from peripheral drives as well as other intelligent peripheral devices at 4 MB/sec. And because it is an iSBX/ZBX module, it directly communicates with the host SBC, effectively increasing bus bandwidth. In contrast, the iSBC-214 transfers data to and from ONLY from peripheral drives, and at a comparably slow 630KB. Not to mention that the iSBC-214 must communicate with the host via the Multibus. As with all Zendex ZBX modules, the ZBX-380 conforms to the Intel Multibus iSBX interface specifications. This module is a high-performance, low cost upgrade for Intel's iSBC-214 and compatibles.
