ZBX-760 QUADRATURE ENCODER MODULE

The ZBX-760 is a quadrature encoder input module for applications involving single-axis shaft position information or pulse train countng. Inputs are provided for zero (0) and 90 degree phase angles, land an index pulse signal. Position and direction can then be determined by utilizing the presettable 16-bit synchronous up/down counter and comparing the two phase angle inputs. The counter can be read at any time without affecting its operation. Inter rupts can be generated after a predetermined number of cycles, or on an index pulse.
