The Intel SBX251 bubble memory MULTIMODULE board is completely assembled and tested.  Non-Volatile 128K-byte memory board based on the Intel 7110 one-megabit bubble memory and support chips.  The SBX251 board is Intel's easiest to use bubble solutions.  The SBX251 MULTIMODULE board may be designed into Intel SBC products with the SBX connectors as well as into any user manufactured microprocessor board.  The bubble memory support circuitry and SBX connector on the SBX251 board provide the user with a simple interface to the  bubble memory.

 

The SBX251 board is featured as an option on the iPDS (Intel Personal Development System) a fast access storage option designed to emulate disk.  Typically, the bubble memory option provides a 2X improvement in system performance when compared with a floppy disk.  Use of the SBX251 board with the iPDS system enhances iPDS system portability, performance and reliability.

 

The SBX251 and SBX251C boards differ in specified operating temperature ranges.  The SBX251 board operating temperature is 0o - 60oC.  The SBX251C boards operating temperature is 10o - 40oC.  These boards plug into any Intel SBX single board computer or other processor board with a SBX connector.  The SBX251 board meets Intel SBX specifications.
